With the new Lottie Widget, you can add small, high-quality animations directly to your digital magazine. Lottie animations are vector-based, stay perfectly sharp even on high-resolution screens, and are significantly smaller than traditional videos.
They are perfect for icons, loaders, hero elements, or small visual highlights.
You need a .lottie or .json file for this. Free animations can be found, for example, on lottiefiles.com. Custom animations can be exported from Adobe After Effects using the Bodymovin plugin or from Figma.
Tip: Use .lottie files whenever possible, as they are usually smaller.
How do you use Lottie?
First, upload the file to the media library.
Then, drag the Lottie Widget from the left side of the editor onto your page.
In the widget options, click Lottie and select the desired file from the media library. The animation will start playing directly in the editor.
The following settings are available, among others:
Autoplay — the animation starts automatically when the page loads.
Loop — the animation plays continuously in a loop.
Playback Speed — from 0.5x to 2x.
Scaling — widget width in relation to the column (0–100%).
Zoom — zooms into the animation.
Horizontal Alignment — left / center / right.
Padding, Border, Corner Radius, Device Visibility, Animation Settings — just like in any other widget.
